Sculpture By Claudette

A good friend of mine asked if I would sculpt something for him.  I knew he liked skulls, so I decided to sculpt one for his collection.  Luckily for me, the person who commissioned this work allowed me complete creative freedom and "Severed" was where my sculpting explorations took me.  However, to the best of my knowledge, this is the first skull in my friend's collection that includes spinal vertebrae, not to mention the spinal membranes and nerve roots. I hope this work brings as much pleasure to its Owner as it brought me in creating it.
