Sculpture By Claudette

Twilight, one of my earlier pieces, was a joy to work with as a portrait due to his character.  He is an older model whose face has a charming asymmetry with deep beautiful wrinkles.  The combination of his eyes, asymmetry and wrinkles telegraphed the story of his past.  It was very easy to engage with the model and make the connection between the model, what the artistic eye saw, and what was formed with the clay.
